ZigZag is the business podcast about being human.
Join a community of listeners riding the twists and turns of late-capitalism, searching for a kinder, more sustainable way.

Manoush Zomorodi (NPR’s TED Radio Hour; Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business) and Jen Poyant (EP Note to Self, 2 Dope Queens) investigate the impact of work and business on our wellbeing and our planet, as they look for answers to their listeners’ most pressing question: does surviving late capitalism require selling out your ideals?

From anxious new grads to established professionals and entrepreneurs, ZigZag listeners are facing twists and turns in their careers, companies, and lives as never before. They also share a sense that the current business models, from the Surveillance Economy to the Gig Economy, are unsustainable. Our psyches and the environment feel maxed out.

Every episode of ZigZag, Seasons 4 and 5, explores a pressing issue that’s changing how work works and profiles a rebel or visionaire who is experimenting with finding a kinder, more sustainable way. Topics include talking about identity in the workplace, protecting the privacy of yourself and your customers, balancing personal relationships with ambition, and building businesses that respect their employees and the environment.

For Jen and Manoush’s personal story (and their adventures in starting their own business with help from experimental blockchain technology), listen to the first three seasons of the show, starting with Season 1, Chapter 1
